Supporting Teams4U

The old stock was given to the charity called Teams4U that operate in several countries worldwide including Romania, Belarus, Ukraine, Sierra Leone and Uganda amongst others. They work doing many projects to support local communities, handing out shoeboxes full of toys and toiletries to young people in need and work on a larger scale with projects looking at education, training and sanitation.

Teams of skilled people head out from the UK and at times will use sport to break down barriers. The kit will be given to young people in these countries where normally they would not have any, so a group of children in Uganda may be running around playing football wearing PL tracksuits.

They work with partner organisations in these countries who best know the people and help to empower rather than takeover.

In the picture is one of our junior swimmers handing over kit to Dave Cooke the director of the charity at their new warehouse near Wrexham, North Wales.
